Writing Dos & Don'ts

Do:
Have a thesis statement
Have topic sentences for each body paragraph
Explain supporting details that help build your argument
Use a broad selection of vocabulary


Don't:
Start with a question
Ask rhetorical questions just answer them
Use the word "this"... be specific
Restate the thesis statement in the conclusion verbatim
